How CaseFetch works for everyone, and how to tell us when it does not

Our commitment

CaseFetch should work for everyone at a firm, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, magnification, or high-contrast and reduced-motion settings. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across this website and the CaseFetch app.

Where we are

CaseFetch is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA: most of it meets the standard, and some parts do not yet. What we know about:

  • Dragging a note onto the Calendar or Tasks lane needs a mouse or a touchscreen. The note's menu does the same things and works from a keyboard.
  • Task and event descriptions come from Clio and are shown as Clio provides them, so how they are structured depends on how they were written there.

What we do

  • Check the contrast of text, icons and form fields against WCAG in automated tests, in both the light and the dark theme.
  • Respect your reduced-motion setting, and let you pause the video on the home page.
  • Give icon-only buttons names a screen reader can announce, and keep the keyboard focus visible, including in Windows contrast themes.

Tell us what gets in the way

If something on CaseFetch is hard or impossible for you to use, tell us which page you were on and what got in the way: send us a message. If you need something from CaseFetch in another format, ask and we will work out a way to get it to you.
